Howden MEA Projects is currently looking for Projects Packaging and Logistics Controller. The position will be responsible projects equipment/material supply and availability, material transportation, cargo handling and negotiating with freight forwarders along with managing custom duty payments.

**What needs to be done?**
- Information Flow: Control the information flow for all projects orders for the project/s into supply chain system to ensure accurate, complete and valid project procurement status and goods receipt of all completed project work/services.
- Projects Logistics Management: Cooperation with project managers in the development of project deliveries projections to ensure that acceptable material handling on sites. Sourcing rates from Freight Forwarders and Finalizing the forwarder based on the rate and service provided. Maintain the company's vendor list in consultation with Procurement and QA to ensure that only approved vendors are loaded onto the system. Liaise with other departments to ensure that procurement procedures are maintained. Prepare contracts delivery schedules or status reports with the project managers on a weekly and monthly basis for distribution to all relevant stakeholders.
- Reporting: Responsible for weekly reporting on projects. Assist with monthly reporting and operational reporting.
- General: Pro-actively manage equipment/material flow for projects. Support commercial management of the projects. Update and maintain relevant information regarding vendor databases. Review of all purchase orders for accuracy in terms of on time delivery and expedite all PO’s. Responsible for other ad hoc duties as may be delegated from time to time.
- Adhere to Sarbanes Oxley and AX controls

**What do you need to bring?**
- Tertiary qualification in Logistics/ Supply Chain Management or equivalent
- 5 years related experience in a project environment
- Knowledge of ERP based financial reporting systems
- Advanced understanding of Microsoft Excel
- Highly computer literate
- Extensive knowledge of incoterms
- Knowledge working across borders
- Good negotiation skills.
