**Duties & Responsibilities**:
**Mechanical Services Maintenance & Repairs**
- Execute **Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM)** tasks as assigned by the Mechanical Services Team Leader or Foreman.
- Respond to **Reactive Maintenance** requests issued by the Mechanical Services Technician or Foreman in a timely and effective manner.
- Ensure **best operating practices** are consistently applied during all maintenance and repair activities.
- Accurately **identify and report required materials** for maintenance tasks to the Mechanical Services Technician to ensure timely task completion.
- Complete and submit **job cards** and update PPMs using the **ONKEY App** daily for tracking and reporting.
- Adhere strictly to **Tsebo Facilities House Rules** and the **Occupational Health & Safety (OSH) Act** at all times.
- Maintain a **clean and organized workspace**, including workshops and plant rooms, to uphold professional standards.
- Ensure all completed maintenance tasks are **inspected and signed off** by the Maintenance Foreman to verify quality and compliance.
- Monitor and measure task performance in terms of **response and restoration times**.
- Willingly undertake any **reasonable tasks** allocated by the Foreman or management team.
- Collaborate and **assist other departments** when required to support overall operations.
- Be available for standby duties and work overtime as operational needs demand.

- Adhere to the TFS’s Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality (SHEQ) Management System’s Policies & Procedures of as applicable to this position.

**Skills and Competencies**:

- **Safety Conscious**: Demonstrates a strong commitment to maintaining a safe work environment at all times.
- **Refrigeration & Air-Conditioning Expertise**: Proven ability to repair and maintain various refrigeration and A/C units, including the installation of split-type air conditioning systems.
- **Technical Knowledge**: Well-versed in tools, materials and equipment relevant to HVAC systems.,
- **Systems Experience**: Skilled in working on a variety of systems such as air-cooled and water-cooled chillers, cooling towers, cold rooms, freezer rooms, domestic and commercial fridges and other chilled water-operated systems.
- **BMS Systems**: Solid understanding and practical experience with Building Management Systems (BMS).
- **Mechanical Repairs**: Capable of repairing and replacing motors, bearings, and other mechanical, refrigeration components.
- **Instruction Comprehension**: Able to understand and follow both oral and written instructions with accuracy.
- **Work Management**: Strong ability to plan, organize, and manage personal work tasks efficiently.
- **Communication & Interpersonal Skills**: Excellent communication abilities with strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
- **Team Player**: Works effectively both independently and within a team environment.
- **Language Skills**: Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English.

**Qualifications**:

- 2-3 years experience in similar environment
- Refrigeration trade test qualification
