A well established national company dealing with the Property industry has a vacancy for a Legal Advisor.

**Minimum Requirements**:

- Bachelor of Law (LLB);
- Admitted Attorney
- Minimum 2 years post articles general legal and commercial experience
- Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, ability to multi-task and work under pressure.

**Legal Functions and Responsibilities**:
**Drafting of Agreements**:

- Draft agreements including but not limited to: Lease Agreements; Sale of Property Agreements; Term Sheets, Memoranda of Understanding, Sale of Shares, Shareholder Agreements, Loan Agreements, Cession Agreements, Suretyships, Guarantees, Resolutions, Mandates.

**Review of Agreements**:

- Reviewing of agreements drafted by external attorneys.

**Litigation matters**:

- Instructing external attorneys on the commencement or defence of legal proceedings on behalf of the group and overseeing the litigation process

**Reporting**:

- Prepare and/or facilitate the preparation where applicable, the following legal reporting documents:

- Exco Legal Report;
- Conveyancing Report;
- All other legal monitoring reports, as and when required.

**Research/opinions**:

- Research and providing advice on new legislation that impacts on the operation of the group;
- Preparation of legal opinions.

**Conveyancing**:

- Instructing/Monitoring external attorneys on all conveyancing related matters and reporting on the progress.

**Compliance**:

- Assisting with general legislative and regulatory compliance of the group including but not limited to POPIA, FICA, Companies Act, Occupation Health and Safety Act and the BCEA.
