**Full Job Description**

**Your opportunity**:
As part of their exciting success across Papua New Guinea, our client is now searching for an experienced **Steel Fabrication Manager** to run operations and look after the delivery of the business unit.

**Key Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Ensuring that Fabrications for projects are delivered on time and within budget. Oversee projects from start to finish
- Upholding high HSE standards and encouraging a culture where safety is prioritised;
- Developing and implementing planned preventative maintenance programs and workshop schedules;
- Maintaining clear maintenance, HSE and budgetary records;
- Reviewing existing policies and equipment, recommending future procedures and equipment to improve business operations;
- Create the fabrications teams, develop the objectives / goals of each and assign individual responsibilities
- Mentoring of junior personnel in and around the business where necessary

**Requirements**:

- Trade Certificate in Metal Fabrication equivalent to at least a Cert III in Engineering - Fabrication Trade
- Excellent Communication skills, both verbal and written, and ability to sketch plans
- Ability to read and correctly interpret detailed plans and drawings
- Extensive knowledge of all steel products, spans, coatings and tolerances.
