RESPONSIBILITIES:
? Build, install and commission new electrical systems
? Review electrical installations for compliance
? Perform maintenance and troubleshooting on MV and LV Systems
? Knowledge of instrumentation and control systems, temperature, pressure, flow etc.
? Knowledge of Induction Furnaces will be advantageous.
? Knowledge of VSD’s, PLC’s and industrial networks will be advantageous.
? Maintaining service records of electrical equipment
? Liaising with other departmental staff, supervisors and managers
? Using C-Works to plan, track and record tasks
? Ensuring that all work will comply with regulations in the OHSA and the company policies and procedures
? Manage Electrical Department SHEQ compliance
? Supervise and mentor electricians
? Compile comprehensive RCA Reports
? Compile, read and use electrical diagrams
? Improve plant safety standards
? Ensure the effective use of resources
? Scheduling and planning of maintenance activities
? Shutdown planning and managing execution of shutdown plan
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
? NQF6 National Diploma in Electrical Engineering or higher would be advantages or a Trade Tested Millwright or Trade Tested Electrician
? 8+ years of relevant working plant experience
? Able to work in a pressurized and demanding environment
? Must have your own reliable transport
? Must have a valid driver’s license
? Good communication skills
? Strong leadership and Coaching skills
? Ability to perform within a team
? Good problem-solving capabilities
