**Description**

Our client, a business consulting agency in **Somerset West**, is looking for a dynamic person to join their team as a **Financial Accountant** with expert knowledge on all aspects of accounting and compliance for SME businesses.

They will form part of a project management team and will be focused on empowering the wider team to operate at excellent accounting standards.

**Responsibilities**

Financial Accounting (technical):

- Monitor the quality and timeliness of monthly financial reports are produced in the team.
- Provide feedback and coaching to team members needed on improvement on review findings.
- Collaborate with team leaders to address poor performance and standards.
- Provide technical guidance and address queries from the management accounting team.
- Provide expert knowledge on various technical areas, that include compliance with IFRS for SME’s, tax laws and accounting best practices.
- Work as part of the Advisory Projects team to ensure as efficient and compliant process of accounting system implementation projects.
- Provide solutions to complex accounting problems that clients experience.
- Assist the team to address poor commercials on SLA’s through interventions internally and externally.

Process Management:

- Monitoring adherence to processes, standard and timelines.
- Find and implement opportunities for process improvement through collaboration with team leaders.

People Management:

- Be able to interact and work with employees of all levels of work experience
- Mentor and upskill the management accounting and advisory projects teams (including junior accountants).

**Qualifications, Experience and Traits**:
Preferably a CA(SA)
- Thorough understanding of IFRS for SME standard and integration thereof with tax act as well as accounting best practices.
- Strong accounting, analytical, and research skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Strong ability to utilize project management and accounting best practices to organize and prioritize tasks and the tasks of other team members.
- Strong organisational and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in various industries and wide variety of general knowledge with regards to these industries.

**Salary**: R40k - R55k p.m (depending on experience)
