Job Title: **People Change and Communications Manager** Business Unit: Data Engineering Duration: 12 months Rate: Rate is negotiable based on experience Work Location: Hybrid (Sandton) More about the Area & Team: The Data Engineering team has been tasked to bring the data strategy to life. This will require coordination and communication of numerous projects across the group. These projects are focused on Data Management & Governance; Data Processing and Data Consumption and Visualization More about the project: - Problem to solve - Solution/Deliverable - Attractive Tech exposure The resource will be working across a portfolio of initiatives that is focused on "Unlocking the full value of data as a critical, strategic asset for the group, to power growth and innovation". The solutions / projects include decommissioning of numerous data warehouses and data stores, implement new EDWs, and Data Lakes and implement an Enterprise Data Management Solution. Data is at the heart of the Digital Transformation for the bank and the exposure to new technology, new thinking and working across the group will provide resources with excellent exposure and learning. **Job Description / Responsibilities**: To provide advice, support and delivery in the change management and communications discipline. - Oversee the development of the project plan, funding approvals through regular discussions with the portfolio manager or project manager. Provide corrective guidance where needed and approve the final recommendations that the project manager will present to the business units. - Develop overall change management plan and communications calendar. - Monitor and control progress ensuring all risks and issues are identified and where needed, provide guidance and resolution on any relevant matters. - Attend project governance meetings, for example, Steering Committees (SteerCo\'s), Change Councils, etc to maintain oversight of and review the project with all the relevant stakeholders. - Where applicable work with change agents and change vendors to deliver the change and comms plan. Approve and manage the vendors\' responsibilities and accountabilities on projects through regular reviews, meetings, and other general feedback sessions - Provide feedback on the various change initiatives currently in focus to the Head of Business Engagement, Data Exco, GSO Exco, Absa Board and the Data Council. Timing of feedback (reports, etc.) are dependent on project deadlines as determined by project managers and business owners. - Mobilize executives within the business to support key programmes by communicating project intent and obtaining buy-in and resource allocation for delivery of key components. For all new project and system change requests, ensure that a thorough risk assessment is conducted to determine the interdependencies between this and other projects and the impact proposed changes may have on seemingly unrelated processes and systems. - Drive and support Change initiatives in which new concepts are being investigated or proposed and provide input, guidance and direction to these discussions. - Ensure that the business environment is ready for the change by developing operating models and roles and responsibilities matrices. - Work with managers in the team to achieve excellent business results through continuous people development and mentoring activities - Years of Experience: 10 - 15 years - Industry Experience Data Projects is an advantage Must-have Skills (Mandatory Skills): - Commercial mindset - Effective communication - Leading people - C-Suite communication - People change management - Project Management - Beneficial Skills (Desired Skills): - Data and Digital familiarity - Analytical skills - Creative skills
