Job description

- A Barista is responsible for preparing and serving coffee and other beverages to customers in the Streatery. Their duties include working with other Baristas to help take orders, make drinks and provide timely service to customers. This position reports directly to the Streatery Manager and will be required to work different shifts across trading and non-trading hours, including Sundays and Public Holiday.What you'll do

This is a list of tasks that you will be responsible for doing on your days at work.
- Prepare and serve coffee and tea drinks that meet quality standards
- Properly handle and maintain all equipment
- Respond to orders, questions, concerns and complaints in a polite and efficient manner
- Demonstrate strong numeric skills to accurately handle cash and credit card payments, following appropriate cash handling procedures
- Operate a point of sale (POS) system effectively to process orders and payments
- Serve customers quickly and efficiently by providing exceptional customer service by going above and beyond to meet customer needs
- Possess appropriate product knowledge to assist customers in making informed choices by demonstrating thorough understanding of all the menu offerings
- Observe relevant health and safety standards
- Maintain clean and hygienic work station
- Maintain awareness of all promotions and advertisements when needed
- Maintain a positive attitude and create a welcoming atmosphere for customers and coworkers
- Exhibit professionalism and attention to detail in all interactions and tasks
