Operations Coordinator

You will be responsible for but not limited to:
Coordinate and manage all cold store operational performance and activities (intakes, shipping, stowing and inspections) with a strong focus on cost management

Booking of staff to ensure that planned daily operational targets are met

Maintain exceptional housekeeping standards

Identify and participate in areas of continuous improvement to ensure best practice

Ensure all operational equipment is in good working order

Manage staff over a 3-shift system - 24/7-hour operation

Lead, manage and develop staff with a strong emphasis on training and development, time and attendance, performance management and adherence to Health and Safety regulations, company policies and procedures and any other applicable protocols.

**Requirements**:
Matric

Minimum 7 - 8 years’ operational experience in a production environment, warehouse environment and/or cold storage of fruit. Experience in the fruit export industry will be advantageous

Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role is essential

Above average computer skills (MS office). Working knowledge of Paltrack will be advantageous

Driver’s license is compulsory

Working in cold temperatures (0.5⁰C) are a prerequisite for this position

Proficient in both English and Afrikaans

Self-starter, energetic and disciplined with the ability to effectively direct a team

Excellent problem solving and decision-making skills

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Ability to perform under pressure

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: R40 000,00 - R50 000,00 per month
