**Primary Objective**:

- Responsible to keep all relevant documentation up to date & filed appropriately
- Clearing of all imported and exported products
- Update and maintain Logistics Reports
- Expected to know company’s products
- Employees working in this position are required to understand the shipping process completely

**Main Tasks**:
**The role is directly accountable for the following items, which constitute the Main Tasks of the position**:
**Key Responsibilities**
- Booking of containers and vessels as per the forecast requirements
- Monthly setup of a pick plan for the current month as well as for the next month
- Generate Export Commercial and Proforma Invoices
- Compiling of Warehouse/Logistics files.
- All relevant documentation heat treatment certificates, COA’s, preparation form, packing list, invoice, export document e.g. BOL/AWB and supplier invoice with stamped customs documentation should be submitted to Accounts department
- Follow up on delivery of shipments.
- Ensure All Distributor Centre’s shipments are receipted on Sage X3
- Obtain stamped custom clearing documentation and invoice from supplier/clearing agent. Verify & reconcile supplier/clearing agent invoice.
- Submit to Line manager for authorization
- Confirmation of payments to supplier for services rendered
- Give clearing instructions to Agents
- Submit insurance declarations
- Updating of permits 470/3 and 460 permits
- Compiling documentation for SARS & completing duty calculations
- Maintain a balance between imports and exports for the duty rebate permit.
- Update Bill of Lading sheet allocating 460/470 percentage split
- Preparing documentation for inspection & exports (Certificates of origins, Certificate of Analysis, Request for Certification Form, Bill of Lading/Air Waybill)
- Prepare a register to ensure that all documents reach the relevant parties timeously
- Perform various projects on exports, imports, costs, products, etc.
- Arrange collection of courier shipments and compiling documentation
- Be present when loading containers for exports and assist inspection agencies when loading containers
- To assist with stocktaking process and stock control of all Warehouses and Third-Party packers
- Ensure the warehouse office is always kept clean and tidy
- Updating of reports daily
- To assist with projects as required by the Warehouse and Distribution Manager
- To act on all reasonable instructions given to you by Line Management
- Daily communication with all departments and suppliers
- To perform ad hoc duties from time to time**Inherent Requirements**

**Technical Skills**
- Good understanding of company business operations will be an advantage
- Timely and accurate reporting
- Must be able to reconcile
- Knowledge of the import/export laws and regulations will be an advantage
- Knowledge of exchange control act will be an advantage
- A matric certificate or post graduate diploma backed by at least three years relevant experience
- Experience in commercial practice and procedures of countries in the African continent particularly in areas of importation and exportation will be an advantage
- Must have strong problem-solving skills
- EXCEL and WORD proficient
- Knowledge of Sage x3 will be an advantage
