**KAMOA COPPER SA is looking for a Senior Project Planner**

**The Kamoa Copper Mine, is a joint venture between Ivanhoe Mines (39.6%), Zijin Mining Group (39.6%), Crystal River Global Limited (0.8%) and the Government of the Democratic Republic of Congo (20%). It's a very large, near-surface, flat-lying, stratiform copper deposit with adjacent prospective exploration areas within the Central African Copperbelt, at approximately 25 kilometers west of the town of Kolwezi and about 270 kilometers west of the provincial capital of Lubumbashi.**

As the Senior Project Planner you will be required to coordinate the schedule for all project and construction activities on surface, as well as underground. As the Senior Project Planner you will be a vital link between all disciplines, departments and EPCM contractors to ensure compliance with the Project Program and Schedules.

**You** will have the following**:
A good working knowledge of Microsoft Project 2016, CCS Candy: Site Plan as well as Primavera 6 Planning Systems

**Preferably you will be**:
Having a good working knowledge of Microsoft Project 2016, CCS Candy: Site Plan as well as Primavera 6 Planning Systems

**You will have advanced skills and knowledge in**:

- Multidisciplined planning experience on sites where mining, equipping, surface and infrastructure work occurs.
- Must have an all-round understanding of project design, procurement, and construction processes.
- Concentrator EPCM experience
- Melter EPCM Experience

**Technical Skills should include**:

- Practical Planning Training that enhances Microsoft Projects, CCS Candy, Primavera 6 Planning systems and Palisade Decision Tools at Risk

**Personal Competencies should include**:

- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- Good analytical and planning skills
- Ability to learn quickly and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in the use of project scheduling software such as CCs Site Plan, Primavera P6 or MS Project
- Must have good attention to details.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Good working ethics and ability to treat documents with confidentiality
- Ability to work effectively within a team setting and also to provide leadership when required to do so.

**Your Key Performance Activities will include but not limited to**:

- Ensure compliance and full integration of the Program and related Schedules.
- Ensure full integration of Master Plan
- Flag any deviations and report to the Project Controls Manager and facilitate communication and reporting with the project stakeholders
- Reschedule, with the Project Controls Manager, any and all activities where deviations occurred
- Updated the schedule and presenting progress to stakeholders on a weekly basis
- Work closely with all EPCM contractors and Owners Team Management on all project disciplines
- Maintain a well-documented Risk Register on scheduling
