S4 is seeking an experienced Project Manager / Engineer to carry out their duties at our office in East London.

The position will involve the following:

- Lead and be responsible for satellite office of S4 and to represent the company in selling, installing and supporting machinery.
- Interface with current and potential customers on a regular basis.
- Be involved in project planning and execution.
- Oversee work of technical installation team.

**DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**:
**Business Development**:

- Acquiring and updating knowledge of employers’ and competitors’ goods and services and market conditions
- Identify companies that the marketing team can cold call
- Arrange delivery of goods, installations of equipment and provision of service
- Assess clients needs and resources and recommend appropriate goods and services
- Consult with clients after sales
- Visit regular and prospective client businesses to establish and act on selling opportunities
- Monitor customers changing needs and competitor activity

**Cost Estimation**:

- Consult with clients, vendors and personnel to discuss and formulate estimates
- Prepare time, cost, materials and labour estimates
- Prepare estimates for use in selecting subcontractors
- Confer with engineers, owners and subcontractors and adjustments to duration of projects
- Prepare cost and expenditure statements
- Assess cost effectiveness of products
- Set up cost monitoring and reporting systems and procedures
- Review material and labour requirements

**Supervision**:

- Supervise on-site employees
- Co-operate with site management
- Work to timescales and deadlines
- Act as main technical adviser on site
- Oversee quality control
- Ordering of installation hardware
- Install electronic systems meeting standards and codes
- Test and inspect systems upon completion of installation
- Provide continuous support to clients
- Coordinate with senior technicians
- Diagnose problems or failures

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- A tertiary qualification in electrical engineering or similar qualification would be advantageous
- Previous experience in an industrial automation environment
- Willing and able to travel from time to time (Local & international)
