**Software Tester at Full Stack**

Location: Global (Ideally +/- 4hrs from UTC) - will accept from ALL countries though; if you can work aligned with check-ins/check-outs which occur within 8am to 5pm CAT (UTC+2). 

Full Stack is a bespoke software development company. We build software from scratch for clients in a variety of industries utilising a wide range of technologies. Our developers have broad experience, with deep knowledge in one or two areas and the ability to operate in cross-functional teams in collaboration with our clients and their other vendors.

Full Stack is fully remote, with our formal headquarters in Cape Town, South Africa with collaboration spaces in all cities where our developers work. We have corporate entities in the USA, UK and South Africa. 

**What will I be doing?**

Software testing is a vital part of a project’s life cycle. A QA (Quality Assurance) member needs to have a keen eye for detail and gets to test all variables in an attempt to uncover defects/bugs so that the defect/bug can be fixed, to produce an excellent piece of software.

**What do I need?**
- Good attention to detail regarding both UI and UX.
- HTML & CSS understanding is helpful.
- Good understanding of MS Word and Excel for test pack purposes.
- Ability to test on multiple projects if needed.
- Basic understanding of Android and iOS devices and their respective operating systems.
- Basic understanding of Katalon automation software is a plus

**What happens after I apply?**

1. We don't beat around the bush - we ask salary expectations and availability to start - we don't want to waste your time if you are on 9 months notice and wants a zillion dollars. If there is reasonable alignment, we proceed. 
2. We conduct a technical screener skills assessment (DONT PANIC), which we review based on question area - people who have technically failed this test, can and do move on to further interviews. 
3. This is followed by a Teams call with a few members of our production engineering team to find out more about your experience and why you want to work at Full Stack. This interview is of a technical nature, and a variety of discursive and planning exercises are included. 
4. You will have a culture and fit interview with the founders - this can be of a technical nature as well, as two of our directors are also coders - but generally this is more a discussion about your dreams, ambitions, strengths, weaknesses and a chance for you to ask us more about Full Stack. This is also where final salary negotiations will take place. 
5. If an offer is going to be made, we do a final strength finding and psychometric assessment; this is a general assessment, the results of which will be shared with you irrespective of final outcome. The only metric of this assessment that may result in an offer not being extended is a high indicator of deception - the reason for this is because of the personal and private nature of the data and systems we work on. No one who reaches this stage has ever been filtered out... so you are safe as houses by now ;)
