Our Accounting client is seeking a **Junior IT Technician** to join them in Cape Town.

**Salary**: R12 500 - R18 000 per Month

**Requirements**:

- Matric
- A+ | N+ qualification
- Microsoft certification (advantage)
- Relevant IT certification or diploma is advatageous
- 1-3 years’ IT experience
- Knowledge of Active Directory and Group Policies
- Basic understanding of network protocols, TCP/IP, DNS (Domain Name System), DHCP, and VPN
- Knowledge of troubleshooting hardware and software issues on tablets and laptops
- Strong Microsoft Windows operating systems experience
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft desktop products including: Office, Office 365, particularly Outlook, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Teams
- Experience working with and setting up tablets, lapops, and printers
- Good understanding of systems and network security
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to manage time effectively and work under pressusre
- A Valid Driver’s License

**Responsibilities**:

- Provide 1st line IT support across the company
- Resolve any hardware, software or network problems
- Installing, maintainng, and configuring all software and programs
- Manage user accounts and access permissions in line with company policies
- The implementation and maintenance of Microsoft 365 services, including Outlook, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Teams
- The implementation and maintenance of the Active Directory, including computers, users and printers
- Printing/scanning support (IP printing, shared network printing, local printers)
- Monitor and troubleshoot network connectivity and performance issues
- Logging of calls with outsources IT service provider when required
- Collaborate with third-party service providers to address and resolve issues as required
- Troubleshooting VoIP telephone systems together with the service provider
- Maintain asset registers
- Provide relevant training on the latest technology, trends and IT policy
- Keep updated with the latest technology and innovations
- Ad hoc duties may be required from time to time, excluding mentioned in above scope
- Able to work after hours where required

**Salary**: R12,500.00 - R18,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Cape Town, Western Cape: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- C+ / A+: 1 year (preferred)
- Active Directory and Group Policies: 1 year (preferred)

**Language**:

- Afrikaans (MUST BE HOME LANGUAGE) (preferred)
