- Responsibilities and job functions
- Effectively manage all warehouse and delivery activities, asset management, risk controls and accountable for the overall warehouse operation and management of staff for two furniture stores.
- Ensuring positive impact and high levels of customer satisfaction and profitability
- Manages staff and the overall operation of the warehouse ensuring the safe and effective receipt, order, assembly storage and distribution of customer goods on time and without damage.
- Performing related tasks as required.
- Engage in regular staff meetings to motivate, organise and encourage teamwork within the Warehouse to ensure productivity as well as communication and disciplining of staff if required.
- Engage in regular managerial meetings to align the warehouse operations and functions with that of the company's vision and mission.
- Inspect and oversee the maintenance of vehicles, machinery, equipment and buildings.
- Ensure that any health and safety problems are resolved in a timeous manner and provide feedback on health and safety matters to the Health & Safety Committee
- Maintain receiving, warehousing and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating and enforcing operational and personnel policies and procedures
- Plan and control all stock movements including: stock counts as well as long and short term warehouse planning

- Demonstrate a strong commitment to quality and adherence to practices, procedures and scheduling deadlines
- Able to comply with company security and safety procedures and regulations
- Proficiency with MS Office, Excel and Outlook
- Excellent computer skills and experience on operational software for warehousing
- Cooperative attitude; team player with ability to develop and enhance strong relationships, excellent communication skills

**Inherent Requirements**
- Matric and Relevant Qualification- Minimum 3 years Warehouse management experience in Retail Warehousing, Logistics and Supply Chain management.- Excellent leadership skills: manage 40+ warehouse staff (two retail store warehouses)- Computer Literate: MS Office, and WSM, Sage preferred- Working Hours:
- Weekdays: 7am - 5pm- Alternate Weekends: Sat: 8am-4pm, Sundays: 8am - 2pm**What Qualification**
