**Entity and activity description**
The rotating machinery expert provides technical guidance and practical support in his domain of expertise for the operation, integrity, maintenance activities and fault diagnosis on key Rotating Equipment, like Centrifugal & Axial flow compressors, Steam Turbines, reciprocating compressors, crayogenic pumps and expanders, gear boxes, centrifugal & reciprocating pumps, etc.,

He is responsible for ensuring that standards are maintained, whilst also optimizing and supporting execution of machine overhauls at site and maintenance planning with limiting downtime.

He systematically takes part to assessment of modifications related to machines (MOC) as well as incident analysis (RCA) and proposes actions to improve performances (reliability, efficiency).

He also contributes to the continuous improvement of the Group’s LI industrial policy, the deployment of key programs defined by the LIWBL & HUB, develops the expertise network and field technicians, and reports on achievement and progress on key industrial goals.
**Missions and Responsibilities**
Operation Management**

Provide technical assistance to field personnel in the areas of Rotating machinery and mechanical equipment.

Direct and oversee vendor shop repairs on rotating machinery and mechanical equipments to insure highest quality work and adherence to Air Liquide standards.

Set high quality standard during FAT of all assigned. Review Engineering design of all rotating machinery and give high value recommendation to correct and improve the whole system.

Provides daily technical oversight and troubleshooting for the equipment and component.

Support incident investigation when specific expertise is required

Support turnarounds as requested

Help develop maintenance standards and practices of rotating equipments

Represent operations on new projects and proposed modifications as assigned

Propose modifications to existing facilities to improve safety, reliability, and efficiency

Ensure appropriate Root-Cause Analysis and capitalization

**Enterprise Management**

Provide support to operations and share expertise broadly in the organization.

Propose new projects for improved design and operations in area of expertise

Participate in completing new standards, specifications, and vendor selection criteria/vendor audits

Mentor and train less experienced experts

Develop and encourage usage of predictive maintenance tools

**Competencies and Profile**
Qualifications include**:

- Mechanical Engineering
- 5 to 10 years of experience in industrial oil/gas facilities, reliability, asset management, maintenance domains, metallurgy in Rotating Equipment

**OTHER COMPETENCIES**
- Knowledge on vibration analysis and interpretation of vibration spectral/data.
- Knowledge on low and high speed balancing of various types of rotors
- Good knowledge on standards followed in oxygen compressors and safety requirements (ex. EIGA)
- Metallurgy of critical components and failure analysis
- NDT and other Inspection methods of rotating equipment
- Knowledge on various repair methods of rotating equipment components
- Knowledge Weld repair procedures
- Technical standards and OHSAct Pressure Equipment Regulations
- Knowledge of maintenance management principles and practices.

**Additional information**
Maintenance Management**

Supports the Reliability/Maintenance Manager to assess potential consequences in terms of reliability/ availability of any deviation from the maintenance plan of rotating equipments.

Collaborates on turnaround optimization and maintenance strategy, scope and execution: Based on RCA conclusions and SIO. Predict inputs, he/she supports the Reliability/Maintenance Manager in formulating his/her maintenance reco
