**Duties & Responsibilities**:
- Utilise knowledge and skills to provide an all-round payroll admin service in conjunction with the company bookkeeper.
- Utilise knowledge and skills to conduct payroll administration functions such as printing of bank statements (JHB & KZN); reconciliation of bank and cashbook; turn over reports; release of EFT payments (JHB & KZN); petty cash management; capturing of creditors invoices (sundries); budgeting for Cleaning, Transport & Long hauls; Diesel usage capturing; Drivers’ fines administration; staff loan administration and resolution of payroll queries in consultation with the company bookkeeper and the Financial Manager
- Utilise knowledge and skills to manage the company payroll and ensure creation of new payroll employee profiles for new employees and input monthly payroll data such as salary adjustments; overtime; absent days, staff loans; etc.
- Ensure that quarterly payroll statistics are submitted to Statistics SA; submit annual and bi-annual IRP5’s to SARS and assist with annual financial audit.
- Ensure reconciliation of creditors accounts statements and petty cash
- Load and release monthly creditors payments (JHB & KZN) and ensure administration of monthly journals for fuel / long hauls, etc.
- Ensure monthly payroll reconciliation; importing of salaries into bank and printing of employee pay slips.
- Administer monthly EMP201 and reconcile staff loans to the general ledger.
- Assist with ad-hoc functions such as chairing disciplinary hearings and providing general assistance to top management.
**Skills and Requirements**
- Finance Degree Qualification
- Extensive knowledge on payroll and tax
- +6 years’ experience in payroll and finance
- Fluent in English
- Computer literacy
- +3 years Sage business cloud experience
- FMCG experience
- Excellent written and verbal skills
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Johannesburg, Gauteng: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
