**Job Advert Summary**:
Eduvos is looking to employ the services of a** Laboratory Supervisor** at our **Pretoria** campus.

**Type of position**:
Ficed Term

**The Position**:
To manage the day-to-day operations of a campus laboratory / laboratories, thereby creating a learning environment for lecturers and students in which experiments can be performed

**Minimum Requirements**:
**Minimum qualification**:

- Honours qualification in **Biological Sciences **is required. _A masters will be advantageous_

**Experience**:

- At least five years’ experience in a professional role in a laboratory environment
- Managerial experience will be advantageous

**Duties and Responsibilities**:
**Responsibilities**:

- **Accountable for the quality of the practicals and ensure they comply **with timelines, OHS requirements including waste management, housekeeping, maintenance and repair of equipment, and practical lecturer, lab tech and student queries.
- **Participate in Communities of practise and ensure quality.**
- **Management of laboratory expense**, Operational day to day planning (roles and responsibilities of lab techs, manage waste generated, adjustment and input for timetables. Operational implementation and execution monitoring and corrective actions
- **Problem solvin**g relating to resource and capacity management of people, equipment, consumables, workflow etc.
- **Provide input regarding operational efficiency** - processes, policies and procedures (SOP’s), methodologies, performance standards
- **Risk Management**

- Strong understanding of SOP’s, and lab safety protocols, and regulatory requirements (e.g. ISO 17025, 14001 and 9001)
