**purpose**:

- The Portfolio Optimisation and Pricing Head leads the pricing strategy formulation and optimises profitability whilst minimizing capital requirements and return volatility. Key to the role is formulating and maintaining the credit policy and appetite and identifying pricing actions to improve profitability. The incumbent guides business to drive key scoring and analytical initiatives, determines credit rating systems and advises on the selection of major rating assumptions. In addition, the incumbent prepares performance analyses, oversees actuarial research, audits and collects data from various sources and performs complex pricing and profitability calculations. This role identifies opportunities for new business and leads, integrates and optimises multiple team outputs**experience and qualifications**:

- Minimum Qualification - Honours degree in relevant Quantitative field (Finance / Statistics / Mathematics) with SAS / SQL / VBA certification
- Preferred Qualification - Masters degree in relevant Quantitative field (Finance / Statistics / Mathematics) with SAS / SQL / VBA certification
- Experience - Five to seven years financial modelling, credit and pricing in the financial services industry with three of those leading a team**additional requirements**:

- Determines profitable credit appetite thresholds and strategy
- Manage team or teams in areas of responsibility in delivery against performance targets and achievement of wider human capital objectives
- Identify and encourage participation in activities that are appropriate for own and employee development in area of responsibility
- Ensure implementation of the business Transformation plan and creation of an inclusive culture for employees
- Ensures legislative compliance and alignment to group frameworks whilst fulfilling business objectives
- Aggregates Risk Data and does Risk reporting (RDARR) for the Division
- Manages and optimises the Retail Credit Portfolio and overall pricing procedures
- Manages the business processes for area of responsibility
- Fosters strategic relationships across the business value chain to promote optimal risk management and influence the acceptance of pricing models
- Design and deliver customer service solutions, systems and interactions aligned to Organisational values and service standards that build the brand
- Ensure business strategy of area of accountability is adequately budgeted for to drive the financial performance of the business
- Leads the pricing strategy formulation in collaboration with business stakeholders
