**CORE PURPOSE OF THE JOB**

Internal control (“IC”) has been implemented to ensure the integrity of financial and accounting information, safeguard Bank assets, meet operational and profitability targets and promote operational efficiency, transmit management policies throughout the organization, encourage adherence to policies and procedures and strengthen the control environment.

**MAIN FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB**

As an Internal Control Officer, you will be responsible for monitoring the following key areas:

- Retail and Banking
- Finance
- Regulatory monitoring
- Treasury
- Central Operations
- Credit
- IT Monitoring

OTHER RELATED TASKS

Any tasks deemed fit to monitor and review that is considered to be an integral part of

Internal Control that is within the skills, knowledge and capacity of the Internal Control Officer.

**QUALIFICATION**
- A BCom degree (audit / risk background) or Relevant Qualification will be required in order to meet the requirements of the role at the highest level of competence. Knowledge and understanding of the control environment to mitigate risk is advantageous.

**PREFERRED EXPERIENCE**
- A minimum of 3 - 4years of Banking experience with a preferred audit / control background will be required for this position.
