Senior GIS Technician
**Requirements**:

- A National Diploma or equivalent technical qualification within the

Geo-Information field;
- A minimum of 2 to 5 years’ experience in a town planning

environment;
- Experience in a data quality assurance environment would be

advantageous;
- Proven proficiency of Geographical Information Systems

(ArcGIS/ArcGIS Pro) and MS Office is essential;
- A valid Code B driver’s licence;

advantageous.
Key Performance Areas
- Capture edit and maintain datasets in a versioned Geo-database;
- Provide data analysis in order to check, validate and manipulate

data to achieve consistency and accuracy;
- Prepare and produce spatial reports and maps on request;
- Adhere to the operations of the branch pertaining to operational

targets, staff performance, productivity, development and training;
- Provide a Technical Support Service by conducting research to

keep abreast on the latest GIS trends and technology and contribute
to the formulation for the division’s performance targets.
