Control Gisc Technician, Ref No. Eadp 30/2022

**Job Purpose**:
Department of the Environmental Affairs and Development Planning, Western Cape Government has an opportunity for a suitably qualified and competent individual to manage and supervise operational GISc activities and perform advanced technical GISc activities within the Department. This post is stationed in Cape Town.
**Minimum Requirements**: Diploma in GISc, Cartography or relevant qualification; A minimum of 6 years post qualification technical GISc experience; Compulsory registration with the South African Geomatics Council (SAGC) as a GISc technician; A valid code B driving licence.
**Recommendation**:
Experience in environmental and town planning.
**Key Performance Areas**: Manage, supervise and perform technical GISc activities; Maintain effectiveness within the GIS unit; Governance; Financial Management; People Management; Functional requirement analysis; Research.
**Remuneration**:
R 466 482 per annum, OSD as precribed.
Note on remuneration: Cost-to-employer (CTE) remuneration packages for certain occupation-specific dispensations (OSD) are inclusive of all costs related to service benefits or obligations including basic salary, 13th cheque, medical assistance, housing assistance, pension-fund contributions, etc. Where remuneration is not indicated as CTE, employees' service benefits or obligations are funded or co-funded in terms of the applicable prescripts or collective agreements.
