**Purpose of this position**

The Deputy Principal is responsible for assisting the Campus Head with the day to day management of the campus with a strong focus on staff development; the management the campus facilities including the IT infrastructure; the facilitation of academic delivery; compliance to financial procedures, the achievement of marketing and sales targets in keeping with the brand promise and the facilitation of student support & interface.

**Tasks & Outputs**
- Ensure a high level of customer experience through the provision of academic operations and social calendar in-line with guidelines
- Focus on inculcating and celebrating a culture of measured, monitored and rewarded success with students, staff and lecturers
- Manage the campus holistically - ensuring integration between functional departments resulting in a constantly improving customer experience
- Academic queries & requests within policy. Escalation to the National office where applicable
- Ensure IIE approval of academic staff and contractors
- Manage cost-effectiveness of lecturer rooms & independent contractors, invigilators & tutors with the timetable
- Oversee sales and marketing function to ensure the campus meets its business objective

**Specific Requirements**
- A relevant and accredited degree
A minimum of 3 years of operational and/or specialist administrative role in an academic setting with an element of general management
- Proven computer literacy competence - MS Word, MS Excel and MS Access (or any database software)Financial acumen

**Competencies**
- Ability to manage specialist personnel in academic setting
- Sound communication skills
- Proven ability to lead and operate as a member of a team
- Ability to work in a pressurised environment
- Experience within a tertiary environment
