**The Role**

Tripplo is looking for a contractor Loads Controller to be based in Durban. The Loads

Controller will be part of Tripplo’s Growth and Operations Team and will be mainly responsible for handling loads between cargo owners/brokers & transporters, ensuring the successful

delivery thereof. The role is critical to ensure that all loads issued by cargo owners/brokers are fulfilled through the platform, delivering essential cargo across all parts of Africa.

**Responsibilities**
- Help onboard transporters onto the Tripplo platform, ensuring that their trucks, trailers & drivers are loaded correctly
- Maintain a good working relationship with transporters - working with executives & administrators
- Maintain a good working relationship with cargo owners & cargo brokers - working with executives, senior management, middle level management & administrators
- Find loads from registered cargo owners & brokers - assisting them to load them onto Tripplo
- Conduct electronic organisational vetting of cargo owners/brokers & transporters
- Vet trucks, trailers and drivers with the assistance of electronic tools - with physical checks - ensuring fleet information for transporters is constantly updated
- Liaise with GIT insurance providers to constantly check GIT cover for transporters before taking on a load
- Help locate Tripplo registered vetted & verified transporter trucks to fulfil loads issued by cargo owners & brokers
- Working with the loads rating engine
- Do loads weekly load plans with the cargo owners/brokers
- Receive load confirmations for issued loads from cargo owners/brokers and process for issued loads to transporters
- Dispatch & issue delivery notes for all loads on the platform, with POD checklists
- Conduct both manual & electronic trip tracking for in transit loads - constantly liaising with transporters & providing regular updates to cargo owners/brokers
- Working with customers to ensure that border paperwork for each load is in place to minimise delays in executing loads
- Engaging with transporters for working capital & early settlement assistance
- Ensuring successful loading & offloading of issued loads on Tripplo
- Receive PODs from transporters, process them, and submit them successfully to the customers
- Align with finance for invoicing post-offloading & ensuring that loads are invoiced correctly by the transporters to Tripplo
- Resolve any issues in-transit
- Maintain professional administration & perfect records of every load issued and fulfilled through the Tripplo platform
- Provide reports of loads execution & share key learnings with the team
- Provide any other support to the growth team
- Responsible for revenue and marginal loads targets for assigned customers
- Responsible for meeting SLA’s for assigned customers

**Requirements**:

- Must be able immediately available to start on the 17th of August 2020, based in Johannesburg, South Africa
- More than 3 years in the logistics space - especially working with dispatching loads
- Experience working with loads within South Africa & cross border across SADC
- Has worked in a start-up before
- Good communication skills - especially in English
- Ability to work with people from various levels of the organisation
- Working well with computer productivity tools
- Driver’s license & ability to travel
- Ability to work across multiple cultures
- Flexible schedule - ability to work in evenings & weekends
- Good energy & keen to learn new skills quickly
