**Primary functions include but not limited to**:

- Manage, motivate, and ensure discipline among Receiving and Returns staff while adhering to company quality procedures.
- Optimize vehicle usage by ensuring compliance with the perfect trip principles and effective trip planning.
- Ensure timely deliveries to customers.
- Oversee the adherence to administrative procedures.
- Budget and control costs in line with company KPIs.
- Manage the Client KPI scorecard and meet all targets.
- Enforce compliance with ISO and SHEQ procedures.
- Daily liaison with customers to resolve queries promptly.
- Manage all Industrial Relations matters, ensuring a stable, motivated, and productive team.
- Lead the training and development initiatives for all staff.
- Prepare monthly financial, activity, and statistical reports.
- Maintain housekeeping standards within the warehouse and yard area daily.
- Capture and monitor weekly timesheets.
- Effectively manage and monitor overtime.
- Attend all relevant meetings.
- Coordinate monthly meetings with customers on-site or via Teams.
- Ensure proper loading of vehicles and compliance with load requirements.

**Requirements**:

- Must work well under pressure
- Matric plus a relevant transport qualification (National Diploma or Degree).
- A minimum of five years’ experience managing a transport and warehouse contract.
- Knowledge and experience with export and import processes.
- Experience in loading vehicles and ensuring optimal loading practices.
- In-depth knowledge of HR and IR issues within a unionized environment.
- Strong experience in safety, health, and environmental issues within the workplace.
- Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and administrative skills.
- A valid Code 08 (EC) driver’s license and reliable transport.
- Must be willing to work flexible hours in a high-pressure environment.
- Ability to perform well under pressure and handle stress effectively.

**Job Type**: Permanent

Pay: R20 000,00 - R35 000,00 per month
