Machine Setter

**Position Overview**: We are seeking a skilled Machine Setter to join our team at Exacto Craft. The Machine Setter will play a crucial role in the production process by setting up and adjusting plastic injection moulding, PET stretch blow moulding and foil printing machines to ensure optimal performance and product quality.

**Responsibilities**:

- Set up all machines according to production schedules and specifications.
- Adjust machine settings, including temperature, pressure, and cycle times, to achieve desired product characteristics.
- Install moulds, dies, and other tooling components onto machines, ensuring proper alignment and functioning.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with machine operation, such as jams, malfunctions, or quality defects.
- Perform regular maintenance tasks on machines, including cleaning, lubricating, and replacing worn parts.
- Monitor machine performance and make adjustments as needed to maintain efficiency and quality standards.
- Collaborate with production team members to optimise workflow and minimize downtime.
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.

**Qualifications**:

- Matric certificate required, additional NFQ Level 4 related certification would be advantageous.
- Previous experience as a machine setter or operator in a plastic injection moulding environment strongly preferred.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of machine components and processes.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime as needed.
