We are looking for a Communications Coordinator to join our team based in Gauteng. This position reports directly to the Head of Marketing.

**Communications Coordinator**:

- day coordination of marketing and communication activities. The various audiences for consideration are internal and external stakeholders, end users and our clients. Focus will be on building brand awareness and equity.

**Duties and** **Key Responsibilities**:

- Coordinate, and execute all activities pertaining to the marketing and communication strategy and departmental annual plan in accordance to agreed timelines. Both for program needs as well as organizational brand building iniatives driving advocacy.
- Manage all approval frameworks with the Head of Marketing including activities, artwork, production, and finance.
- Records and resource management of all creative and communication assets.
- Marketing and Comms department execution of administrative tasks.
- Coordinate engagement between agency providers, consultants, freelancers, etc., and the marketing team.
- Formulate briefs for external suppliers and manage quality and timings for production.
- Coordinate the design and manufacturing of all marketing material.
- Coordinate content with agency and 3rd party suppliers, including: o Management and control of social media platforms, and o Ensuring an up to date and highly reputable online and in market presence.
- Drive cross functional engagement to ensure alignment and collaboration pertaining to all marketing and communication related projects.
- Actively engage cross functional departments to ensure an understanding of the full organization.
- Contribute toward the development of the marketing and communication plan.
- Coordinate the execution of the departmental plan as it aligns to operational intent.
- Plan and report on day-to-day operational marketing deliverables.
- Monitor and track project campaign milestone and organization performance.
- Provide performance overview across all channels with identification of key trends and impact drivers, such as data drive reports.
- Manage administration requirements within the department, including: o Marketing material development, o Production & Distribution, and o Financial & Supplier related administration.
- Formulate and coordinate marketing and communication activities relating to organizational services, as it aligns to the marketing strategy.
- Communication and marketing activities focuses on 3 key audience namely; internal and external stakeholders, end users and our clients which requires adapted approaches.
- Review and refine content for internal and external as it relates to marketing activities.
- Proactively translate the marketing strategy into daily tasks.
- Proactively seek opportunities for process enhancement, innovation, demand creation and other ideas that could lead to efficiency and client benefit.

**Skills and Experience**

**(Minimum Requirement Essential)**:

- Minimum a Diploma in the field of strategic communications, public relations or public health or other related fields.
- Minimum of five (5) years Experience in the public health sector with a focus on HIV and GBV prevention.
- Sound understanding of the National Department of Health landscape.
- Ability to write formal content pieces relevant to Public Health.
- Relevant five (5) years experience in Communications and Marketing.
- Strategic Communication development and implementation.
- Project management.
- Third party liaison and management, including creative agencies and production of collateral - digital and print material.
- User and functionality understanding of various social media platforms including: WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok.
- In depth understanding of South African Youth - Culture, Influences, Vocabulary, Trends
- Ability to write and formulate appealing content focused on the youth (15 - 24 age group).
- Hold a valid South African identity document or work permit.
- Driver’s license and own transport.

- The ability to communicate efficiently and effectively at all levels in the organization, including internal and external communication, in both verbal and written form.
- The ability to attend to finite detail whilst executing outputs to ensure the quality-of-service delivery.

- Excellent planning and organizing skills.
- The ability to work within a team (external and internal) and contribute to the achievement of the Marketing team’s goals.
