**The **Role**:Sr Technical Research Analyst - Offshore Field Development

The Africa Regional Team focuses on tracking, reporting and analysing the exploration and production energy activity in the African Continent.

**The Impact**:
This position is critical in supporting the company’s varied customers who participate in the offshore construction market. These customers include international and state-controlled oil and gas companies, financial analysts, vessel owners, shipyards, equipment suppliers and others.

**What’s in it for you**:
You will have primary responsibility for collecting and reporting on offshore field development activity in the Africa Continent, while also being responsible for the tracking of offshore construction vessel activity. You will be considered an expert in the assigned offshore sector. This role calls for sourcing details regarding the assigned region and construction vessels and help maintain and update internal database.

**Responsibilities**:

- Collecting and reporting on offshore field development activities in Africa, gathering and maintaining accurate data of assigned offshore subsea construction vessels.
- Establishing and maintaining relevant industry contacts particularly via phone calling.
- Writing daily news stories from updates gathered, updating and maintain data quality in company databases.
- Providing customer support when necessary and applicable, possibly product demonstrations to support the Sales and Customer Service Teams.
- Analysis and of data/news for forecasting reports.
- Opportunities for market presentations will arise and will be expected, in collaboration with the rest of the Africa Regional Team.

**What We’re Looking For**:
This position requires a university degree (Associate’s or higher), but other relevant work experience will be considered. Preferred minimum of two years’ work experience and familiarity with the offshore oil and gas industry with a particular focus on the subsea vessel or offshore construction market.

Key Qualifications and Skills:

- Self-motivated, multi-tasker
- Able to work with mínimal supervision, have excellent attention to detail, and the ability to meet strict deadlines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with fluency in English.
- Working knowledge of common spreadsheet, word processing and presentation software.
- Solid grasp of global geography.
