**Position Overview**:
**Key Responsibilities**:
**Inventory Management and Costing**:

- Oversee and manage daily system inventory operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Collaborate with the GFM to maintain, develop, and implement costing models for products.
- Analyze and maintain accurate inventory data, identifying trends and discrepancies.
- Conduct regular stock counts and reconciliations in collaboration with the operations team.
- Evaluate inventory-related data and recommend strategies to optimize stock levels.
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities, particularly in relation to inventory and cost of goods sold.

**ERP System Administration**:

- Serve as the primary point of contact for the ERP system, ensuring optimal performance and utilization.
- Support internal users, enhancing their proficiency, and addressing any system-related queries.
- Collaborate with IT to ensure the ERP system aligns with business needs, implementing upgrades or modifications as required.
- Stay updated on the latest ERP trends, functionalities, and best practices.
- Assist management in implementing ERP workflows, controls, and procedures.

**Reporting & Analysis**:

- Produce monthly, quarterly, and annual inventory and cost reports for senior management.
- Analyze variances between actuals and forecasts, providing insights into potential areas of improvement.
- Work closely with the finance team to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with accounting standards.
- Assist the GFM with due diligence studies and scenario analysis across all business areas.

**Continuous Improvement**:

- Recommend and implement improvements in inventory and costing processes to drive efficiencies and accuracy.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process integration or automation, especially within the ERP system.

**Qualifications & Experience**:
**Educational Background**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Inventory or a related field.
- CIMA

**Professional Experience**:

- Minimum of 5 years’ experience
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the wholesale and distribution industry.
- Experience with Zoho, Netsuite, Microsoft Dynamics, or Sage Intacct.
- Experience incorporating foreign currencies and freight costs into pricing/costing.

**Skills and Abilities**:

- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data analysis skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to train and guide team members.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with a focus on advanced Excel skills.
- Proactive approach, ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet tight deadlines.
- Experience in financial system/ERP implementation is highly valued.
