**ROLE DESCRIPTION**

We are looking for a skilled Bookkeeper with accounting experience in South Africa and in the UK to maintain our financial records, including accounts payable and receivable, and bank reconciliation.

Ultimately, your responsibilities are to accurately record all day-to-day financial transactions and your work will be split between our 2 companies, in both countries.

**ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Record day to day financial transactions and complete the posting process
- Reconcile transactions daily across all accounts
- Manage the Chart of Accounts and ensure all costs are posted correctly
- Work with accountant to run and check payroll submissions - check RTI’s and pension contributions
- Run reports on balance sheet and P&L bi-weekly
- Process accounts receivable/payable
- Reconcile sales taxes, payroll taxes, and bank accounts at the end of each month
- Work with the accountant when necessary

**REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS**
- Degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration
- Knowledge of South Africa and UK accounting
- Proven bookkeeping experience
- Knowledge of Xero (preferable), Sage or QuickBooks
- Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principles
- Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
- Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers
- Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and proprietary software
- Proficiency in English and in MS Office
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Knowledge of bookkeeping software
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Attention to detail and accuracy of work
