- The Clicks Group is looking to recruit a Packaging Coordinator to work within our Private Label department. The role will be based at the Head Office in Cape Town and report directly to the Private Label Executive.**Job description**

**Job Purpose**:

- To effectively co-ordinate, traffic and manage packaging artwork design for Clicks Private Label in line with business objectives and strategy.**Job Objectives**:

- To ensure best practice by ongoing research into product and packaging trends through conducting focus groups, store visits, and web research and developing market awareness.
- To ensure NPD buyers are informed on research outcomes for Private Label specific developments, through written and verbal reporting and feedback.
- To ensure effective management of the design concept by briefing BTB and managing the design concept approval and process with all relevant key stakeholders.
- To take responsibility for the consistent implementation of the Private Label packaging strategy by ensuring that all design layouts and tiering are accurate and consistent including style of copy and all visual elements on pack (photographs and illustrations)
- To manage the artwork roll-out for Clicks Packaging by ensuring all packaging briefs are approved according to concept design and through managing artwork timelines. These include signing off on every piece of PL artwork.
- To develop and maintain working relationships with relevant stakeholders to ensure effective co-ordination of activities to meet project timelines and influence packaging decisions.
- To ensure continuous improvement of packaging processes and the implementation thereof.
- To compile and report on weekly and monthly packaging status updates to all relevant stakeholders and ensure forward planning takes place.
- Circulate Red alert report to team weekly to highlight any weekly actions that are falling behind deadlines.

**Minimum requirements**

**Education**:

- Matric essential
- 3 year Degree/Diploma desirable

**Job Experience**:

- 3-5 years in Project Management, new product development, and/or design agency work.
- Minimum of 2 years management experience

**Job Knowledge**:

- In depth knowledge of packaging design for Retail &Private label and/or FMCG products
- Understand consumer behaviour towards packaging; Knowledge of the business, encompassing strategy, structure, products, markets and competitors.
