Our client is an international non-profit organisation who facilitates stem cell donations to those in need. The Donor Request Management department is responsible for liaising with and providing support to donors who have been identified as a potential stem cell match for the patient. This includes the evaluation of their medical suitability and eligibility. A Donor Request Coordinator is required in this department to support the coordination of stem cell donations with unrelated donors.

There are three stages that need to be coordinated: 1) confirming the suitability of a donor, 2) preparing for the stem cell donation and the transport of stem cells nationally or internationally and 3) support to donors after the donation and the facilitation of donor and patient contact.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage the coordination of bone marrow and peripheral blood stem cell donattions.
- Information sessions.
- Evaluate donors for medical and non-medical factors to determine suitability.
- Schedule and manage donor medical assessments.
- Ensure the timeous completion of required documentation.
- Work with internal databases to record and document accurate donor case notes.
- Schedule national and international transport of stem cell products.
- Obtain import/export permits within set timeframe.
- Obtain customs clearance, if necessary.
- Manage relationships with hospital stem cell collection centres.
- Financial administration - ensure invoices are paid on time.
- Represent the team at local and international working groups.
- Investigate any quality incidents and adverse events.
- Manage complaints.
- Ensure compliance with standards, policies, procedures.

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- Bachelors degree in Nurse or Science (Genetics, Biomedicine etc) (required)
- 3 -5 years' working experience in a high pressure environment
- Knowledge, or ability to understand, medical terminology, case-note documentation, medical history documentation.
- Experience in working with large database/CRM systems
- Own car and valid driver's license
