**Bookkeeper Johannesburg South**

A fast-growing stone and granite manufacturer & wholesaler is searching for a Bookkeeper/Accountant to be an integral, hands-on team member collaborating with various branches in the group. This individual will be responsible for timely and accurate general ledger accounting and financial reporting and will provide essential accounting supporting the sales teams and management.

**Responsibilities**:

- Making journal entries for all receipts, payments, and other financial transactions.
- Filing source documents for all journal entries recorded.
- Posting journal entries to ledger accounts.
- Preparing trial balances.
- Performing bank reconciliations.
- Preparing cash flow statements.
- Preparing financial reports.
- Managing petty cash.
- Depositing cash received by the organisation.
- Issuing invoices & statements for money that is owed to the organisation.
- Loading payments onto FNB Enterprise banking for authorisation
- Performing payroll administration duties.
- Adding stock into Sage Accounting.
- Cost accounting for all stock items.
- Filing tax & Vat returns.
- Performing other duties as required by the role.

**Education**:

- Diploma (required)

**Experience & Requirements**:

- Bookkeeping: 5 years (required)
- Balancing GL Accounts: 4 years (required)
- Processing Entries to Trial Balance: 4 years (required)
- VAT Recons & Submissions: 5 years (required)
- MS Excel: Intermediate to advanced.
- Own vehicle

**Salary**:
R18 000 - R25 000pm (Dependent on experience).

**Salary**: R18,000.00 - R25,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Johannesburg South, Gauteng: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
