**Position/Title: Raw Materials and Reverse logistics Planner**
**Reports To: Planning Manager**
**Employment Type: Permanent**

**Overall Responsibility**:
Compiles a raw materials and reverse logistics plan taking into consideration both risk and cost, utilising planning systems, system dynamics modelling techniques and relevant KPIs to enable business production objectives.

**Focus Area 1**

Creates a Raw materials and Reverse logistics plan to support production focussing on operational, tactical and strategic timeframes, creating all order requirements for materials to be attained within the required lead-time taking into account service level requirements, capacity and cashflow necessities,

**Focus Area 2**

Participates in the Supply Review flagging any Raw materials/Reverse Logistics risks in the tactical horizon, using KPIs to support adequate RM and Returnable supply

**Focus Area 3**

Creates reverse logistics transfers in the system and supports execution thereof, creating visibility for the business on any near-term risks and escalating said risk to support successful execution of production plans.

**Focus Area 4**

Updates the Safety Stock requirements routinely to support business cashflow objectives and buffering as required against supply chain variability.

Analyse raw material requirements and MOQs to compile the best ordering pattern to reduce costs and business risk.

**Focus Area 5**

Manage CAPEX expenditures on returnable glass injections alongside procurement and updates relevant tactical/strategic models to support the business

**Requirements of the Role Qualification**:
BEng Industrial engineering preferred, BEng Chemical or Mechanical

Experience in the FMCG industry would be advantageous

**Preferred Skills**:
Needs to be a strong collaborator/ team player,

Excellent written and verbal communication skills,

Highly Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, Outlook),

Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to adhere to deadlines,

High attention to detail and ability to work with complex data.
