We are looking for a credit controller who will be responsible for ensuring all funds due by Debtors are collected timeously while maintaining good relationships with our internal and external customers. You will have to be proactive in actioning debtors’ queries and ensuring Customers receive high quality and efficient service. We are based in the Northern suburbs of Johannesburg and therefore reliable transport is essential.

**Qualifications**:

- Minimum of Matric.
- Computer literacy: MS-Office Suite (experience with Excel essential).
- Minimum of 3 years credit control experience
- SAP Experience will be an advantage
- Exposure to Consumer / Business accounts and SMME in the wholesale industry.
- FMCG experience will be an advantage
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.
- A self-starter.
- Initiative and deadline driven with excellent planning and organisational skills.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Knowledge of contracts and disputes.
- Knowledge of credit vetting will be an added advantage.
- Successfully adapts to changing demands and conditions.
- High attention to detail, enthusiastic, committed and reliable.
- Fluent in Afrikaans and English

**Job description**:

- Ensuring the efficient and effective collection of outstanding debt
- Contacting customers after monthly payments are allocated
- Contacting overdue customers during the month
- Recording details of all customer interactions
- Dealing with requests for invoices and statements
- Ensuring monthly targets are met
- Advising customers of their credit limits
- Preparing accounts for legal handover
- Reconciling all payments to invoices
- Ensuring journals are allocated to the correct invoices
- Rectifying any errors encountered
- Resolving customer claims and queries
- Requesting PODs and checking price differences
- Creating regular credit reports, etc.

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Johannesburg, Gauteng: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

**Education**:

- High School (matric) (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Credit Control: 3 years (preferred)

**Language**:

- Afrikaans & English (preferred)
