Head of Personal Shopper Program

The position reports to the Head of Business Development.

**Your responsibilities will include**:
Own the evolution of the Personal Shopper Program; including the proposition to Personal Shoppers and supporting technology.

Develop and implement strategies to drive recruitment and retention of Personal Shoppers.

Establish scalable processes and oversee operational improvements to meet business objectives and scale the Personal Shopper business and operations from pilot to nationwide programme.

Own and manage the P&L of the vertical to drive Personal Shopper and customer satisfaction; frequency and manage unit economics.

Lead development of technology and tools to support Personal Shoppers; sales and operations.

Collaborate cross-functionally with other teams including Marketing, Operations, Customer Service, Retail, Marketplace, Finance, Product and Engineering.

Stay up-to-date with industry best practices in e-Commerce and direct sales to ensure strategy remains cutting-edge.

Evaluate, launch and manage partnerships as needed, including with suppliers and funders.

Lead a team to drive performance.

Strong commercial acumen

Strategic thinker; able to build a vision for the vertical and translate this vision into a roadmap and operational plans

Deep understanding of township markets in South Africa

Solutions-oriented executer; can-do attitude; self-motivated

Strong data analysis, manipulation and reporting skills

Strong problem solving skills and solutions orientated

Analytical; uses data to inform decisions

Comfortable with change and excellent team player

**Qualifications and experience**:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field. An MBA or related advanced degree is advantageous.

7 years commercial experience.

3 years leading a team.

Experience in townships, rural areas and informal markets.

Experience in direct sales advantageous.

Experience presenting to senior managers and the C-suite.

Experience in the tech sector / building a product from the ground up advantageous.
