**Key Purpose**

The Creditors Manager contributes to the company’s goals by providing financial support aligned to the company’s strategy. This role reports to the Financial Manager and entails an intense focus on ensuring creditors are paid accurately and timelously.

**Position Overview**:
**Specific Role Responsibilities**:

- Ensure the smooth running of the Accounts Payable department
- Preparation of payment files
- Performing the month end closing process and checking and signing off of reconciliation of creditor’s accounts
- Maintain excellent working relationship with external supplier
- Ensure the Accounts Payable team are replying to all queries in a timely manner and all queries are dealt with correctly and efficiently
- Motivating and leading the team you will also lead the way in developing processes and efficiencies
- Performance management of staff
- Regular reporting and analysis to key senior managers in the business
- Ad-hoc duties to support the business
- Assist staff with difficult suppliers and reconciliations of creditors accounts

**Qualifications and Experience**:

- Grade 12 /Matric
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
- A good knowledge & understanding of the Accounts Payable function with a minimum of 5 years’ experience managing the Accounts Payable
- Proven experience within a high volume / high pressure accounts payable environment
- 5 or more years’ experience in accounting
- 3 or more years’ experience in a leadership role (Managerial role)

**Skills and Personal Attributes**:

- Strong personal computer and business solutions software skills
- Good planning and organizational skills to balance and prioritize work
- Ability to build relationships with internal and external clients
- Ability to work under pressure
- Professional communication and presentation skills
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills compulsory
- Deadline driven, team player that is reliable and dependable with a positive attitude
