**Job Profile**

iStore is seeking a high-energy Marketing Executive to provide visionary leadership and strategic guidance to a team of talented marketing managers, specialists, and creatives. As a Marketing Executive, you will be instrumental in developing, recommending, and executing demand generation strategies that align with iStore's business and brand objectives.

This pivotal role involves effective collaboration with senior business management and external stakeholders, requiring adept negotiation skills to balance business imperatives and stakeholder needs.

With oversight of an annual marketing budget ranging from R80 million to R100 million, you will play a key role in shaping iStore's marketing landscape. Reporting directly to the Chief Commercial Officer, you will drive iStore's marketing endeavours to new heights.

**Responsibilities**

**Marketing Strategy & Business Development**:

- Deliver quarterly strategic guidance for iStore's Marketing Plans, with a primary focus on key Customer Acquisition initiatives.
- Lead the orchestration of an end-to-end marketing plan in collaboration with internal teams and external partners.
- Champion ROI-driven marketing strategies that are seamlessly aligned with overarching business objectives.
- Collaborate with the iStore CCO to formulate comprehensive Business Development strategies.

**Marketing Planning & Messaging**:

- Spearhead marketing planning for iStore's pivotal initiatives, including but not limited to:

- Crafting compelling messaging in collaboration with the Creative Head.
- Meticulously selecting Above-The-Line (ATL) media.
- Overseeing digital media excellence and implementing best practices.
- Strategizing digital media planning and ensuring optimal ROI.
- Providing overall guidance for best practices.
- Skillfully handling supplier negotiations and contractual matters.

**Team Mentorship**:

- Offer mentorship and expert guidance to a team of senior marketing managers and team members, comprising 20 individuals in total.
- Foster productive collaboration with the Group Creative Head on strategic projects, actively driving the prioritisation of creative initiatives.

**The Team**
- Direct reports encompass:

- 2 x Marketing Managers
- 1 x Digital Marketing Manager
- 1 x Content Manager
- 1 x Trade Marketing Manager
- 1 x Event Manager
- Overarching team size: 20 members

**Required Skills**:

- Demonstrable B2C marketing expertise, encompassing campaign planning, development, implementation, and evaluation—both within industries and agencies.
- Strong grasp of messaging and creative strategies, enabling you to guide in-house creative teams or external agencies while upholding brand and business objectives.
- In-depth understanding of the Lines of Business (LOBs) under your purview, including product knowledge, revenue drivers, competitive landscape, and market differentiators.
- Exemplary leadership skills evident across all interactions. Effectively communicate marketing strategies and plans to diverse organisational tiers, influencing engagement and support for marketing programs.
- Proven adaptability in a flat, matrix-structured organisation.

- Profound leadership and negotiation capabilities.
- Hands-on approach to problem-solving.

**Experience Required**
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in marketing or advertising.

- Demonstrated ability to provide and challenge thought leadership within the marketing realm.
- Deep-rooted familiarity with digital-first marketing approaches.
