Group Tax Manager required for established Cape Town based business.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Develop, implement and own the group's tax strategy.
- Be responsible for all direct and indirect tax matters.
- Oversee and ensure the accurate submission of all tax returns
- Ensure all tax risks are mitigated.
- Coordinate tax audits
- Liaise with the Accounts team and Payroll together with 3rd party consultants as well as tax authorities in various regions.
- Maintain current knowledge of tax legislation and share knowledge or provide advice to other teams
- Respond to queries effectively
- Action assigned projects
- Attend monthly and bi-annual performance meetings and all required training courses on compliance

**Requirements**:

- Qualifications: Grade 12 and B. Com Degree in Accounting together with a Higher Diploma or equivalent essential
- Minimum 5 - 8 years' experience as a Tax Manager
- Experience in dealing with group taxation strategies, international tax and complex transfer pricing
- Knowledge of tax and VAT legislation, including VAT apportionment
- Knowledge of tax accounting and compliance
- Exposure to all types of tax returns and tax software
- Experience working in a multinational business
- Experience working within the African region (multiple territories preferable)
- Advanced MS Office
- Strong organizational and administrative skills
- Attention to detail
