Hospitality Management Qualification - Diploma or Degree - 3 yrs.
South African Citizen
Minimum of 5 years experience as a Senior Department Manager GM, F&B Manager as well as
a minimum of 4 years experience in an Operations Management position
To manage and control all food and beverage outlets to the required standards, maximizing revenues and profits to agreed budgetary specifications
and to assist the General Manager with the daily running of the Hotel.
Working knowledge of financial and administrative principles
Knowledge of diverse culture
Basic understanding of IT, AV and Telecoms software and hardware systems
In depth knowledge of stock management
Understanding of Sales and marketing principles within the Food & Beverage environment
Working knowledge of legislation applicable to the Food & Beverage operation
In depth knowledge of food preparation, wine, liquor and beverage
Responsible for the restaurant and bar. Responsible for planning, leading, organizing and controlling all aspects of strategy, marketing, budgets, standards and finances.
Well spoken and well presented individual
Strong managerial skills in the hospitality Industry required
Excellent Guest Relation skills
Excellent staff relation skills required.
Must be computer literate
Previous experience on Micros POS and Opera PMS systems
Effective leadership, manage and oversee all departments within the Lodge / Resort
Plan and manage the day to day operations effectively
Drive the broader goals of the hotel in relation to all outlets mentioned above
To ensure consistent acquisition and maintenance of guests
The managing of Human Resources paperwork for the entire hotel
Ensure the required policies, procedures and administrative systems and controls are in place
Day to day guest interaction to receive feedback and actively implement necessary action
Overseeing and assisting in departmental stock takes
Adherence to all company practices
Leading, training and motivating the team
Drive the hotel’s quality plan and implement all required standards
Salary negotiable - approximately R 30 000 - R 35 000
