Requirements
- Relevant Bachelor’s degree/BTech or an academic National

Diploma equating to 360 credits combined with proven competence

and experience
- Minimum eight years’ relevant experience with experience leading

a professional team
- Understanding of the Municipal Systems Act and MFMA
- Knowledge of Council’s financial policies and procedures and

relevant financial systems
- In-depth knowledge of contract management and administration

principles, procedures and processes
- Good verbal and written communication skills.

Key Performance Areas
- Lead, manage and supervise the Departmental activities for the

improvement of Contract Management
- Lead, manage and supervise the Department activities
- Lead, manager and supervise development of individual

competence in of contract management in the organisation
- Develop and maintain corporate, departmental and societal

stakeholders of the Department to enable delivery of Department

functions, outputs and attainment of Department goals
- Attend to specific sequences relating to administrative tasks and

reporting
- Plan, build, maintain and support contract skills for excellence and

ready to execute contract management skills within the business

area
- Control the departments resources in order to ensure optimal

deployment, utilisation, reporting in relation to department al budge
- Analyse data sets and working with large data sets and compare

data for business needs.
