SAP Project Functional Integration Lead

**Job Purpose**

Our high-profile client is currently busy with a large strategic business and IT transformation and part of this roadmap includes the implementation of SAP S/4 HANA Private Cloud.

This role is to be the SAP Functional Integration Lead Across all streams throughout the lifecycle of the programme, owning the delivery of functional integration of the S4 HANA solution across all functional streams.
- Retain the “big picture” view of the solution to ensure the overall design “works” from an SAP standpoint.
- Proactively and holistically leads and supports all Functional integration of the S/4 HANA solution to aligned / required systems and processes (that transfer data or information to S/4 HANA)
- Plan, manage and control functional activities to ensure that S/4 HANA integration requirements are met (this could include changes in 3rd party solutions)
- Managing of relationships with Functional Solution Architects and SI partner functional architects/Team Leads (internal or outsourced service providers)
- Provides the necessary leadership, analysis and design tasks related to support the architecting and development of the integrated solution.

**Key Accountabilities**
- Management of SAP Functional integration
- Understand the overall solution design and interdependencies
- QA the designs of functional teams in critical areas for usability
- Assessment of proposed functional designs
- Support (review, create) development of project documentation (architecture maps, plans, FDS, TDS, test scripts, training material) required for functional integration
- Facilitate, participate and provide input into required functional team workshops.
- Work with GFL’s and CFL’s to ensure Solution holistically meets Business Requirements
- Approve position papers / decision documents before submission to QA & Design Authority
- Actively facilitate resolutions of solution gaps and decision documents between business(es) and project team.
- Scrutinises development list (RICEFW list) for deviations from standard SAP
- Identify key integration points/issues between teams, development of the plan/approach in mitigating the risks around these topics and establish formal steps and controls to facilitate communication / integration across teams
- Ensure consistent documentation of deliverables across functions.
- Clearly define and manage dependencies between al functions, other projects and the CBS project
- Manage and ensure readiness of functional development and testing (including test environments) to align with CBS streams and milestones
- Provide visibility of any business and technology impacts on project and actively managed dependencies
- Assess end-to-end processes, closing of gaps and integration needs to make these processes work efficiently - technical and functional
- Ensure aligned and coordinated go-live activities across all functional streams
- Identify audit and security requirements and tasks required for compliance
- Manage definition and implementation of business continuity plans associated with functional streams
- Own full-dress rehearsal and cut-over plans for Functions
- Facilitate connectivity between SAP and Non-SAP for integration testing and Go-live
- Give input to impact assessments for system changes and replacement of solutions
- Ensure business leads are equipped with relevant information to support business readiness and manage execution for go-live activities
- Training material input and templates for standard processes
- Enable and validate quality of Integration testing of systems end-to-end
- Ensure UAT test coverage is sufficient and supported by test scripts
- Identify any issues, risks and mitigating actions, escalate to programme management.
- Validate testing results from SI partner and 3rd parties
- Provide test data for Functional Integration scripts
- Give input to audit controls for system migration and go-live
- Align processes for post go-live monitoring and setup activities with support structures

**Qualifications and Experience Required**
- Minimum 10 years implementations or other relevant Solutions and Support
- Minimum 10 -15 years’ experience in SAP
- Overall Functional understanding of SAP modules and dependencies
- Strong business understanding in either Finance or Logistics, with understanding of the other
- Relevant business understanding / experience of functional integration between processes
- Knowledge and experience with using SAP Solman
- Understanding of project development lifecycle and SAP Activate methodology
- Testing of a full integrated solution in an SAP project.
