**Requirements**:

- Relevant tertiary qualification ( professional ICT qualification)
- Appointment as a peace officer
- Valid Code EB driver’s licence
- No criminal record
- Not declared incompetent to handle a firearm
- 2-3 years relevant experience in the field of investigations. Strong

interviewing skills, excellent communications skills both orally and
written, strong organizational skills with the ability to multi task,
demonstrated behaviour of maintaining complete integrity with
sensitive or confidential information
Key Performance Areas
- Gather and preserve evidence pertinent to an investigation i.e

gathering documents, taking photographs, take statements and
video footage.
- Assist management and all relative role players with regards to

disciplinary enquiries and criminal procedures.
- Investigating digital crimes such as online fraud, identity theft,

extortion etc.
- Collecting, processing, packaging, transporting and storing

electronic evidence to avoid alteration, loss, physical damage or
destruction of data.
- Coordinating with other law enforcement agencies to investigate

cybercrime cases.
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations and industry

standards throughout the investigation process.
- Respond promptly to cyber incidents, including breaches, data

theft and malware attacks.
- Manage training and skills development and the transfer of skills

and knowledge.
