**POSITION OVERVIEW**

Based at our Johannesburg Branch, in oder to further strengthen our NCP Yeast business unit that supplies Cream Yeast (liquid yeast) to industrial clients across multiple provinces in South Africa, we are currently seeking a:
**SENIOR YEAST PLANT TECHNICIAN -**( _Johannesburg, South Africa _)
- Developing, building and maintaining the customers’ facilities that store and manage the liquid yeastHighly focused on customer service, technology and innovation.

**KEY ACCOUNTABLES**
- Maintain & develop customer relationship.
- Highly organized and detail oriented
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work and thrive under time constraints and juggle/prioritize responsibilities
- Must be able to read and interpret control system software.
- Knowledge on Rockwell Automation, Phoenix Contact and Unitronics is preferred. Any knowledge of PLC software programming is beneficial.
- Required to troubleshoot manufacturing controls - PLC, AC Motor Drives, Rockwell Automation, Phoenix Contact, Siemens, etc.
- Required to read as-built drawings, blueprints, maintenance logs, and electrical drawings.
- Must have a general knowledge of mechanical and electrical troubleshooting / repair.
- Ability to perform maintenance and repair of production line equipment.
- Fundamental experience on welding, fabrication, pneumatics/ hydraulic, machine maintenance
- Knowledge of refrigeration systems.
- Versed in lock-out/tag-out procedures and possess a strong safety orientation mindset with demonstrated performance.

**PROFILE**
- High School diploma.
- Trade Qualification essential - preferably Millwright
- Valid driver’s licence is a requirement.
- Understanding of possess in food manufacturing industry will be preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of manufacturing, facility, or industrial experience preferred, preferably in food manufacturing environment.
- Working knowledge of PLC programming software, minimum of 2 years or more practical working experience preferred.
- Ability to demonstrate fundamental computer skills - Knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Outlook, PowerPoint, Exce, Word).

Must have good command of the English language, both written and verbal
