Duties/Pligte
- Besoek verskeie klinieke om geskikte deelnemers te werf vir studies by FAMCRU;
- Betrek en bou voordelige werksverhoudings met aangewese Kliniek
- en MOU-personeel;
- Hulpverlening met voor
- en na-MIV-berading en toetsing wanneer nodig;
- Hersiening van insluitings
- en uitsluitingskriteria saam met die ondersoeker en geregistreerde verpleegkundige om die geskiktheid van 'n pasiënt te verseker;
- Hersiening en verifiëring van brondokumentasie in proefpersoon se mediese rekords om studie geskiktheid te bevestig;
- Verkryging van bloedmonsters in ooreenstemming met protokolvereistes terwyl voorgeskrewe veiligheidsmaatreëls toegepas word;
- Hulpverlening met die skedulering en koördinering van opvolgbesoeke en betrokkenheid by alle aktiwiteite om pasiëntbehoud te verseker;
- Doen huisbesoeke indien nodig;
- Voldoening aan alle regulatoriese vereistes om Goeie Kliniese Praktyk te verseker;
- Voldoening aan studieprosedures, FAMCRU SOP'S en GCP-standaarde.
- Visiting various clinics to recruit suitable participants for studies conducted at FAMCRU;
- Engaging and building beneficial working relationships with designated Clinic and MOU staff;
- Assisting with pre
- and post-HIV counselling and testing when required;
- Assisting with scheduling and coordinating follow-up visits and engaging in all activities to ensure patient retention;
- Conducting home visits if required;
- Complying with all regulatory requirements to ensure Good Clinical Practice;
- Complying with study procedures, FAMCRU SOP'S and GCP standards.

Job Requirements/Pos Vereistes
- Sertifikaat in Algemene Verpleegkunde;
- Geregistreerde lidmaatskap by die Suid-Afrikaanse Raad op Verpleging (SARV);
- 'n Goeie begrip van Isi-Xhosa en Afrikaans;
- Eie betroubare voertuig;
- 'n Geldige rybewys;
- Basiese kennis van MIV en nakoming;
- Bereidwilligheid en beskikbaarheid om na ure te werk.
- Certificate in General Nursing Science;
- Registered membership with the South African Nursing Council (SANC);
- A good command of isiXhosa and Afrikaans;
- Own reliable vehicle;
- A valid driver's licence;
- Basic knowledge of HIV and adherence;
- Willingness and availability to work after hours.

Recommendation/Aanbeveling
- Toepaslike ervaring in pediatriese verpleging, of werk in 'n gemeenskapskliniek of daghospitaal;
- Beskik oor goeie pediatriese flebotomie-vaardighede;
- Geldige GCP;
- Ervaring van kliniese navorsing, insluitend die inskrywing van pasiënte in navorsingstudies, implementering van navorsings protokol

en aanbieding van bevindings;
- Uitstekende aandag aan detail wat vereis word by die insameling en ontleding van data;
- Sterk skriftelike en mondelinge kommunikasievaardighede vir interaksie met pasiënte en verslagdoening van navorsingsbevindinge.
- Relevant experience in paediatric nursing or working in a community clinic or day hospital;
- Good paediatric phlebotomy skills;
- Valid GCP;
- Experience in conducting clinical research, including enrolling patients in research studies, implementing research protocol, and presenting findings;
- Excellent attention to detail required in collecting and analysing data;
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for interacting with patients and reporting research findings.
