Product Manager

**THE OPPORTUNITY**:
We are seeking a well-rounded, Senior Product Manager. The Senior Product Manager will lead the execution against our strategic roadmap and ensure we continue to build solutions that keep us in the state-of-the-art quadrant.

The Senior Product Manager will draw on a variety of problem-solving abilities and technical skills, working closely with the customers as well as the internal development team in order to build solutions that solve key problems and deliver value for our clients. This role will be within the Reporting Space, focussing on document production, automation and document storage in general.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:
Product Discovery
- Collaborate with clients and the market to identify problems, needs and pain points.
- Work with engineers and designers to assess product value, usability, technical feasibility and viability.
- Draw up designs and workflows to illustrate new concepts and potential new features for review with stakeholders.

Product Roadmap
- Managing the product roadmap.
- Ensure product priorities are executed in line with our product strategy.
- Report and present product progress against the roadmap to internal and external stakeholders.

Product Delivery
- Document clear functional specifications for product solutions
- Lead backlog refinement to ensure all team members understand the work required.
- Lead sprint planning to ensure current and future deliverables align with product priorities.
- Ensuring timely and accurate flows of information between all stakeholders.
- Facilitate agile software delivery.

Other
- Product team members may report into you. You are expected to engage in weekly 1x1’s, quarterly reviews, define work priorities and lead their career development.
- 1x1s with key management members to ensure priorities and professional relationships between teams remain efficient and effective in order to deliver value to our clients.
- Active participant of the South African Leadership team

**SKILLS**:

- Excellent communication (verbal, written and interpersonal) and presentation skills.
- Self-motivated and highly driven to continuously learn, adapt and improve yourself and your team.
- Familiarity with a requirements management system such as JIRA.
- A strong ability to perform requirements analysis and documentation.
- The ability to confidently push back on out-of-scope, unreasonable or irrelevant requirements and communicating / justifying your reasoning.
- The ability to design a website solution using wire-framing tools, showcasing an understanding of web elements, components and modules.
- An understanding of the software development life cycle and Agile techniques.
- A proven capacity to configure technical solutions (data visualization, data structuring, etc.).
- Experience in design using tools such as InDesign and Figma.
- A background in asset management or detailed knowledge of the industry.
- An understanding of development tools and technologies such as HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
- Experience in working with database technologies such as SQL Server or MySQL as well as RESTful APIs (XML/JSON).
