WATER AND SANITATION WS 34/25 Professional Officer
**Requirements**:

- BTech or Degree in Quantity Surveying or Construction studies
- Professional registration will serve as an advantage
- At least 2 - 3 years’ appropriate experience
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to think independently; provide strategic direction; and

effectively and efficiently organise, analyse, set goals,
administer, guide, integrate and implement systems, plans,
standards and procedures
- Proficiency and competency in MS Excel, MS Word,

MS PowerPoint and SharePoint
- A valid driver’s license with own reliable transport and the ability

to travel to city sites
Key Performance Areas
- Providing input into activities associated with project planning

and programme to influence Capital Projects
- Providing Capex & Opex Contract administration advice

and support
- Contract price adjustment calculations
- Analysis of contingencies on contracts
- Assist with tender document compilation for various civil,

architectural, electrical and mechanical engineering projects.
- Drawing up of correspondence of a more complex and

involved nature to facilitate the functioning of the
Department/Branch
- Consulting with Management on matters pertaining to

compliance with Branch deliverables / requirements
- Networking and influencing other service departments and

private sector role-players
- Co-ordinating and facilitating meetings with management,

internal and external clients and fellow professionals to give
or receive information on projects, programs, policies and
systems and ensure effective liaison.
