**Superintendent Operational Excellence & Technology - Mining Advert**

**The opportunity**:
We are currently seeking highly motivated **Superintendent Operational Excellence & Technology - Mining **to lead operational excellence and technology tasks across surface and underground mines supporting the implementation of the organisation's overall operational excellence and technology strategy in the sector mining.

**About the Role / Key Responsibilities**
- Define process issues by taking initiative and interacting with mine teams, investigate root causes and manage the implementation of corrective actions (stability and variation management).
- Compare processes to industry best practices, identify gaps and propose appropriate technology enhancements to address gaps using proven methods and techniques.
- Develop appropriate processes and procedures for Operational Excellence & Technology.
- Support the establishment of a strong culture of improvement on site, with associated skills and capabilities within staff.

**Required Skills and Experience**:

- University degree in Mining Engineering, Geology, Mineral Resource Management or a similar field plus a Qualification in Management or Leadership
- Must have a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification.
- At least 8 years' experience in a similar role in mining operations.
- At least 5 years' experience in Lean Management, Business Improvement, Strategy Development and Deployment, Project Portfolio management.
- At least 3 years' experience in a managerial position
- Working knowledge of workplace safety management.
- Proven ability for strategic and analytical thinking.
- Proven ability to organize work, set priorities and demonstrate great independence of judgment.
- Ability to make data-driven decisions and recommendations.
- Skill in team management
