Warehouse Operations Manager

The Warehouse Operations Manager is to ensure efficient and effective functioning of the warehouse operations, inclusive of inventory management, order fulfilment, receiving, shipping, and logistics coordination.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Assist in the management of all operations at the Distribution Centre (DC), inclusive of inventory control, health and safety, facility management and resources, administration, space optimization, racking and stacking, and workflow efficiencies.
- Assist in managing inbound and outbound operations, wrapping and packaging, Replenishments and staff welfare, materials and supplies and quality control.
- Manage staff, supporting the DC Manager in managing time and attendance, performance, and day-to-day aspects of 30-50 subordinates.
- Liaise with stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance to company policies, processes and procedures.

**REQUIREMENTS & EXPERIENCE**:

- Matric, with relevant tertiary qualification.
- 5+ years experience in warehousing, logistics, distribution, or supply chain functions.
- 3+ years' experience in a management role within the warehousing, logistics, distribution, or supply chain divisions.
- Furniture industry experience advantageous.
- Computer Literate in Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Code 8 or 10 license, with own transport.
- Experience in managing teams, including coaching and developing team members, setting performance goals and targets, and holding team members accountable for meeting those targets.
- Technical skills: Familiarity with WMS technology and other relevant technologies.
- Microsoft Office Suite: Should be proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite (365), including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Analytical Skills: The ability to analyze data and metrics, identify trends, and develop strategies for improving DC performance.
- Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, delegate tasks effectively, and ensure that deadlines are met.
- Strategic Planning: Experience in developing and executing strategic plans to optimize warehouse operations, streamline processes, and improve efficiency.
- Supply Chain Management: Knowledge of supply chain principles and practices, including inventory management, procurement, and distribution.
- Health and Safety Compliance: Understanding of safety regulations and the ability to ensure compliance with occupational health and safety standards within the warehouse environment.
- Supplier/Service Provider Management: Knowledge of relationship management and the ability to effectively work with suppliers and service providers to ensure smooth operations.
