SA Metal Group requires committed, hardworking and motivated individual to join their Production team as an Excavator Grab Operator. The successful applicant will be responsible for the operation of the excavator grab within the Production division - Shredder department.

**JOB DESCRIPTION**
The Excavator Grab Operator's primary purpose is to provide support within the Production division as dictated by operational requirements in the form of moving non
- ferrous scrap or other scrap material.

**RESPONSIBILITIES **WILL INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

- Carry out daily inspections of the Excavator grab and report any faults
- Do general maintenance and cleaning of the Excavator grab
- Move and place scrap where instructed
- Load and off-load scrap material on/off trucks or in containers
- Complete check lists and log sheets
- Maintain safe working procedures at all times
- Abide by the regulations as set out in the O.H.S.A and company policies.

**POSITION REQUIREMENTS**:

- Grade 12 certificate or equivalent
- Valid Excavator Grab license and/or certificate
- Valid Code B (08) driver’s license
- 2 - 5 years relevant experience
- Willingness to work overtime
- Previous experience in a physically demanding working environment would be advantageous.

- Ability to work independently and within a team.
- Excellent standards in execution.
